Patron, the pan-European real estate investment manager and investor focused on property and property-backed investments, has appointed Fraser Greenshields as Senior Partner to enhance deal sourcing and support the firm’s next phase of growth. The appointment comes as Patron builds on its 26-year track record, underpinned by its long-term strategic partnership with Mitsubishi Estate Group’s global real estate investment management platform, Mitsubishi Estate Global Partners (“MEGP”), which provides institutional backing for the firm’s growth, and expands its investment capabilities across new strategies and subsectors to become a broader European investment platform.
Greenshields will be based in London and joins from EY where he was Managing Partner, Corporate Finance, and had held senior roles since 2007. At EY he advised a wide range of clients including private equity and institutional investors on capital raising, M&A, restructuring and strategy. Prior to this, Greenshields had a career in banking at Royal Bank of Scotland, with responsibility for lending and investing in multiple sectors.
Working closely with founder Keith Breslauer and Patron’s senior partners, Greenshields will help identify and execute investment opportunities, advise on the firm’s largest and most complex transactions, and develop strategic partnerships with managers and investment specialists.
Drawing on more than three decades of corporate finance experience advising private equity firms and institutional investors, Greenshields brings deep expertise in complex transactions, capital raising and strategic partnerships, further strengthening Patron’s leadership team.
Keith Breslauer, Managing Director and founder of Patron, said: “We welcome Fraser to the business. For close to three decades, Patron has built its reputation as one of Europe’s leading value‑add real estate investors. We are evolving that heritage to become a broader, best-in-class European investment platform, expanding our investment capabilities in new strategies and subsectors of the market. Patron’s newly launched business in real estate credit is one example of this. Fraser brings the experience, calibre and network to help drive this next phase and deliver on our long-term vision.”
Fraser Geenshields, Senior Partner at Patron, said: “I have known and worked with Keith and his partners at Patron for close to 20 years. As Patron embarks on the next stage of its evolution, with the strong backing of MEGP, I am excited to be joining to help drive the next phase of long-term growth.”
