This Privacy Notice (Notice) explains how Patron Capital Advisers LLP (Patron Capital, we, our, us) collects and processes the personal data of recipients of articles of interest and information from us (you, your) and your rights in relation to the personal data we hold.
Patron Capital is the data controller of your personal data and is subject to the Data Protection Act 2018 and the retained EU General Data Protection Regulation ((EU) 2016/679) (UK GDPR). Patron Capital is registered as a data controller with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office under registration number Z2745781.
This Notice was updated in May 2025 and supersedes any previous privacy notice or similar terms provided by, or on behalf of, Patron Capital.

How your personal data is collected
We collect your personal data in the following ways:
- From meetings, correspondence or other communications you have with us;
- Through your use of our website (www.patroncapital.com) (for example when you log into the Investor Portal). We may also automatically collect data about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns through the placement of Cookies and other similar technologies. - When you are introduced to us by a third party (such as a broker/dealer).
- We use Lead Forensics, a B2B visitor identification tool, to help us understand the business organisations that visit our website. This service may process information such as IP addresses and pages visited to identify company-level details, but it does not collect or store personal information about individual visitors. The categories of personal data collected
The following categories of personal data about you are collected by us:
- Name, and contact information (such as residential address, email address and telephone number).
- Information about your background including occupation, educational information and interests.
- Investor Portal profile data (including your username), where you are signed up to our Investor Portal.
- Your browser type and version, IP address, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, device ID and other technology on the devices you use to access our website.
The basis for processing your personal data, how that data is used and whom it is shared with
The UK GDPR requires us to have a legal basis for collecting and using your personal data. We rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
(i) Legitimate Interests
- In this respect, personal data will be used by us for marketing purposes. Please see the separate section on Marketing below.
- In this respect your personal data may be shared with the following:
- Our advisers (such as lawyers or accountants) where it is necessary to obtain their advice or assistance;
- Third parties who assist us with the services listed above (such as IT providers).
(ii) Legal Obligations
Your personal data will also be processed by us for compliance with our legal obligations.
- In this respect, your personal data will be used to meet compliance and regulatory obligations, such as:
- To meet our other compliance and regulatory obligations including in order to comply with any requirement of any applicable statute, regulation, regulatory rule and good practice, whether originating from the UK or elsewhere;

International transfers of data
We may share your personal data where necessary with third parties for the purposes set out in this Notice. We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We do not allow our third-party service providers who process personal data on our behalf to use your personal data for their own purposes. We only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.
When sharing your personal data with third parties, as set out in this Notice, some of those third parties may be located outside the European Economic Area (EEA). In these circumstances, we will ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to that applicable in the UK by ensuring that the following safeguards are in place:
- The transfer is to a recipient that has entered into an International Data Transfer Agreement or the International Data Transfer Addendum to the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses for international data transfers with us;
- The transfer is subject to an Adequacy Decision made by the European Commission; ог
- You have explicitly consented to the transfer.

Retention of your data
We will retain your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements. We may retain your personal data for a longer period in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation in respect to our relationship with you.
Your legal rights
Under the UK GDPR, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal data. You have the right to:
1. Request access to your personal data
2. Request correction of the personal data that we hold about you that inaccurate or incomplete
3. Request erasure of your personal data. Please note that we may not always be able to comply with your request of erasure for specific legal reasons which will be notified to you, if applicable, at the time of your request
4. Object to processing of your personal data where we are relying on legitimate interest as the legal basis for the use of your data
5. Object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes
6. Request restriction of how we process your personal data
7. Request the transfer of your personal data to you or a third party
