Patron raises £1m for the RMA-TRMC Guildhall dinner

In 2023, Patron Capital hosted the RMA-The Royal Marines Charity (RMA-TRMC) annual Guildhall Dinner and raised approximately £1 million. Through the course of the evening, guests enjoyed a successful live auction, dinner and inspiring speeches from representatives of the RMA-TRMC in the spectacular setting of London’s Guildhall.

Commando Challenge, July 2023

In July 2023, an 11-strong team from Patron Capital tackled the daunting Royal Marines Endurance Course and Bottom Field Obstacle Course to raise money for the RMA-The Royal Marines Charity (RMA-TRMC).

The combined effort from the Patron Capital team raised almost £4,500 for the RMA-TRMC, making it the top fundraiser. By supporting this challenge, Patron has raised vital funds to support the RMA-TRMC and the Royal Marines family. This is extremely important: following the pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis, there has been a 39% increase in demand for support from the charity. Patron is proud of the team’s commitment to the RMA-TRMC and thank the officers and the trainers for their trust and dedication to our team.

Tough Mudder, July 2023

In July 2023, a 12-strong team from Patron Capital raised over £6,500 for the RMA-The Royal Marines Charity (RMA-TRMC) as a part of the Tough Mudder Challenge, hosted at a military base. The day was made up of two parts: an assault course, followed by a series of endurance challenges in the afternoon.

Forces Wives Challenge, March 2023

Patron Capital sponsors The Forces Wives Challenge, a social enterprise that invites women with partners in the Armed Forces to participate in a multitude of challenges through the year. It aims to build a community for those who feel excluded from society. This year, eight Force Wives took on the ‘Ride to Freedom Expedition’, tackling the ‘WWII Freedom Trail’ across The Pyrenees on horseback, demonstrating the unbelievable power of adventure to overcome physical disability and mental health conditions.

Royal Parks Half Marathon – October 2024

Each year, Patron supports The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity Hasler (RNRMC) at The Royal Parks Half Marathon, raising funds for veteran’s physical and mental support. In October 2024, 10 veterans joined five Patron team members to run the 21 km course through London’s Royal Parks, raising money for charities including the Royal Marines Charity, Alzheimer’s Research UK, Parkinson’s UK, and The Royal Parks Charity. In preparation for the event, the RNRMC team committed to a rigorous sixteen-week training program, collectively covering 1,500 miles in 250 hours and climbing approximately 66,000 ft. showing their commitment and dedication to these causes.

Climb2 Recovery, July 2023

Patron sponsors multiple climbing courses in the UK and France for disabled veterans. Recently, a weekend in the Peak District, organised by Climb 2 Recovery (C2R) taught the Forces Wives Challenge (FWC) about climbing to aid both physical and mental recovery.

AJEX Parade, November 2024

Patron was proud to sponsor the AJEX Remembrance Parade on 17 November, honouring Jewish veterans of HM Armed Forces. The annual Cenotaph event commemorates the 1.5 million Jewish soldiers who served with the Allies in WWII, contributing significantly to the defeat of the Nazi regime. In the UK alone, around 70,000 British Jews served, representing 18% of the Jewish population at the time – a notably higher percentage than the general population’s 11% service rate. It also celebrates their post-war societal, educational and cultural contributions to British society. Patron’s support reflects a commitment to preserving the legacy of the individuals whose sacrifices secured our freedoms.
